Company Profile

Olympus Capital Investments, LLC is a private equity company formed in 2008 to focus on growth capital investments in emerging and established middle market companies. OCI seeks to invest in common and preferred equity, membership interests and convertible debt in public and private companies.

Based in Morristown, New Jersey, OCI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Olympus Holdings, LLC, an independent firm engaged through its various subsidiaries and affiliates in energy, commercial finance and entertainment.

Management Team

Dean N. Vanech, Chairman and CEO

Dean is Chair and CEO of Olympus Holdings, LLC, a privately-held firm formed and based in Morristown, New Jersey, engaged through its various subsidiaries and affiliates in energy, live entertainment, and commercial finance.

In 2007, Dean founded Olympus Power to replicate his success with its predecessor, Delta Power Company, a leading independent power producer that owned and operated $3 billion of assets comprising 32 power plants and 3,000 megawatts of electricity across the United States.

Through Olympus Theatricals, he produces plays and musicals in New York and London, having participated in such acclaimed works as LOVE LETTERS, A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, and THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED. While previously active in film production, Olympus Pictures produced a number of acclaimed films including such successful motion pictures as BEGINNERS, RABBIT HOLE, and ADAM.

Through OCI, Dean leverages his extensive investment experience to both advise and provide growth equity to emerging and established middle-market companies, resulting in numerous debt and equity investments to-date to firms of varying developmental stages.

Dean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Western New England University. He has served and continues to serve on worthy nonprofit boards, many of which he has chaired, including New York Stage and Film Company, Citizen Schools New York, and ESCALA Educational Services.

 

Christopher W. Bodell, Managing Director

Chris has over twenty years of experience in public and private equity, economic consulting and financial management across numerous industries. At OCI, he is responsible for all aspects of the business including deal origination, structuring, execution, portfolio management and exit.

His prior roles include business development and M&A for Countryside Power Income Fund, a publicly-traded income trust; negotiating and structuring investment opportunities for Current Capital, a private equity joint venture with Harvard Management Company; and analytical and management consulting in the energy and environmental practice areas of Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett, a preeminent economic consulting firm.

Chris holds a Master of Science in International Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE) along with undergraduate degrees in Economics and International Relations, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Southern California. In addition to his board positions on OCI's portfolio companies, Chris is active in LSE’s Alumni Association, serving on both the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He is also involved in the New York Stage and Film Company, a non-profit dedicated to emerging and established artists in the development and production of theater and film.

 

Nicholas Vanech, Business Analyst

Nicholas joined OCI in 2020, where, along with assisting with asset management, he researches and analyzes data for potential investments, including in the renewable, health, and entertainment sectors.

His experience includes commercial and nonprofit work. Prior to joining OCI, he worked at Great Swamp Watershed Association, an environmental nonprofit where he wrote and researched articles and assisted with educational programs.

Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Marist College, where he co-wrote and co-researched a senior thesis on sustainability, materialism, and happiness. He remains involved with Marist’s alumni choir.
